Towa is a recluse who thrives in his own secluded silence. However, with his line of work he has learned to somewhat accept social situations. He is polite, kind and yet somewhat distant. Towa is someone who listens and gives advice; yet struggles with following his own advice. He struggles with making decisions for himself, feeling discomfort when placed into the spotlight like that.
He struggles with his inferiority complex; never feeling good enough. In turn he will try to play it off by being dismissive, distant and cold when it comes to himself. Firmly being more interested in learning about others than letting anyone find out that there is truly nothing special about him. He will diminish his own feats if it means highlighting someone else.
History
Towa hails from a family that settled in Gale Spring ages ago. As the youngest, he would always be overlooked while his older sister and brothers would receive relentless pressure.
His mother had been sick for as long as he could remember, she was the only one he would receive attention from. Towa spent most of his time spending time alongside her. Arts and calligraphy had become something of a comfort for him, something he could do while giving his mother company.
As seasons passed, his mother’s health never improved and in the coming winter, she passed away. Devastated and with no sense of purpose or self for that matter; the young horse didn’t know what to do with himself. His artwork didn’t feel the same, but he still resumed. Essentially shutting himself in and refusing to tend to anything, no matter who asked, he would rather spend day and night completely shut in.
He would’ve stayed in this state of self, completely isolated, if it wasn’t for his aunt who had settled in Radiant Harbor. The lady had arrived to visit her sister's grave, and saw that her youngest nephew to this day, was still drifting aimlessly in life. He had, after all, been allowed to do so. She wasn’t going to leave this brat unattended, allowed to continue to self destruct like that.
Determined, she dragged her nephew with her back to Radiant Harbor. She was going to lecture and teach him the ways of her trade, and put him to work in her Tea House.
Since then, Towa spends most of his time at his aunt’s Tea House. Learning and adjusting to live around others. He can’t hide from everyone or do as he pleases anymore, which was difficult for him to adjust to. Overtime learned to tolerate his new life, but he still feels unsure of himself and his place in the Tea House.
Part of him hasn’t fully given up on his passion for art, but these days every piece comes out forced, as if it lacks purpose and intent.

- Even though the majority of his family lives in Gale Spring, there are other members of his family that live in both Noir Vale and Radiant Harbor.
- His family is a mix of regular rapidash/ponyta and its galarian variant.
- The madame of the Tea House, his aunt, treats him like any other employee. No special treatment.
